This partnership, established in 1855, included John and Joseph Mayer (formerly of T. J. & J. Mayer) and Liddle Elliot. In April of 1858 John Mayer left the partnership and Joseph Mayer and Liddle Elliot continued under the name Mayer and Elliot.
Mayer Bros. & Elliot registered two shapes during that time: Berlin Swirl and Hanging Pear. Both shapes continued production under succeeding potters, Mayer & Elliot and Liddle Elliot & Son.
