Dresden Pottery (Potters Cooperative Co.)

In 1882 a group of eight East Liverpool, OH potters banded together to purchase a majority share in the Dresden Pottery.  The group was reacting to unionization efforts.  Some marks of this period include the coat of arms with the initials DPW (Dresden Pottery Works) and others include the initals T. P. C. Co. (The Potters Cooperative Co.).  The potters cooperative only lasted for about a year but the mark was used well after the cooperative was dissolved.
