Notes

Circa: No circa is shown for this shape.  It was originally produced by John & William Ridgway and subsequently by William Ridgway & Co.  This manufacture was circa 1820-1840. The Don Pottery Co. produced this shape in the mid 20th century.

Shape Name: The Ridgways did not have a name for this shape, however, the Ridgway pattern book calls this shape Rosette.  More recently collectors began calling this shape Daisy due to the interpretation of the shape of the flowers in the all-over pattern.  Because there are two collector names and no potter name, we are calling this shape Daisy (Rosette) so that it may be found by either collector name.

Mark:  The Ridgway pieces were generally marked on an applied pad with numbers 471-474.  No marked examples produced by Don Pottery Co. have been found.
